***** NIDDERDALE LEAGUE *****  -  Following the first defeat of the season, we return to Bluecote Wood to face a North Stainley team which clocked up their first win of the season last week.

After Allan Toole's debut last week, we welcome ex Shadwell CC man, Luke Birch, and ex Boroughbridge all rounder, Jim Coldwell to the line-up.

***** EVENING LEAGUE *****  -  We start a new season in a new league and with a new skipper!  Ned McClelland's first game in charge in Division 4 is against Marton-cum-Grafton, who will be as strong as the number of Ouseburn 1st XI players they have drafted in and the tone of the game set by ex player Mark Kinghorn who spends most of his time wanting to compare golf handicaps and getting upset with ex-pro Mark Taylor and scratch (or better!) Joe Buckley when they're so much better than his!

***** NIDDERDALE LEAGUE *****  -  We finished 2010 as runners-up and gained promotion to Division 4 for the first time since 1993.

Other teams in the league are Alne 2nds, Birstwith 2nds, Burton Leonard 2nds, Crakehall, Galphay &Winksley, Lofthouse & Middlesmoor, Newby Hall 2nds, North Stainley, Ripon 2nds, Thornton-le-Moor and Thornton Watlass.

***** BARRETT CUP *****  -  The cup competition formerly known as the Reserve Knockout has been renamed the Barrett Cup, after local cricket stalwart John Barrett.

We face a tricky trip to the highest ranked team in the competition, Pateley Bridge.
