***** EVENING LEAGUE ***** - We complete our season with an away game against NPower, who play at Scarcroft CC in Leeds.

Following last week's heavy rain we have confirmation we have been PROMOTED for the second year on the trot - it's Division 4 next year!!

Well done Mark and the rest of the evening league team.

***** NIDDERDALE LEAGUE ***** - WE normally publish league tables so we can all follow the season's progress. Unfortunately, we have been notified that Bilton 3rds have withdrawn from the league and all their results will be removed from the records.

A league table will be published when available!

In the meantime, after 17 games, we are sat in second place and looking to achieve our aim for the season of promotion.

***** VANDALISM ***** - Unfortunately Bluecote Wood has been hit by vandalism; a number of windows have been smashed, chairs and tables overturned; kit thrown about - it's generally a mess!!

***** SAD NEWS ***** - It is with great sadness we have sent he tributes to local cricketing 'great' John Barrett, a Pannal CC stalwart and tireless administrator for the Nidderdale, Evening and Junior leagues.

We remember John's encouraging words when setting up the Juniors and enjoyed his reminiscing of the end of August Monday Bank Holiday Pannal CC - Pannal Ash 'Friendlies' of the 1950's and 60's.

RIP John, sleep well.

***** NIDDERDALE LEAGUE ***** - The weather stepped in on Saturday as our game with Ripley 2nds lasted only 10 overs. We were 25 for 0 with James Thompson (14 not out) and
Rob Clarke (8 not out).    Two points to each team.

Most of the team then went on a pub crawl from Killinghall's Greyhound Inn and
Three Horseshoes.

There were plenty of sore heads and tales - most of which cannot be repeated!!

***** JUNIORS ***** - As many of you will be aware by now, the League have decided to change the dates of our fixtures.

Unfortunately, this is coinciding with a number of players still at the Leeds Utd Football Academy and current additional work commitments for the coaching team of James and Rob.

We have had to take the difficult decision to withdraw the team from the League this year.

The progress of the young players and support and assistance from the parent's is very much appreciated by all of us.

We will, of course, speak to everybody as soon as we can.
