Junior History
Any club worth its salt must produce its own talent and, historically, we were at the forefront of producing young cricketers who went on to senior cricket success with our own club and elsewhere.
In the early days, the juniors played most of their games off the main ground, they had to cut a rough pitch in the field below the football field.
In the course of the season, 3 games were allowed to be played on the main pitch. One of these games was usually against old foes Follifoot.
We played in the Harrogate Junior Evening League which was an U-17 competition until the late 1970's.
We then went over twenty five years without a junior team until our connection with Pannal Sports JFC, which has given us the opportunity to enter a team in the Arrow Readydrive Nidderdale Junior Cricket League.
