The 1932 season began with an appeal from the committee for supporters to “Rally to the club, for the measure of success is deserving of more support”.

The fixture list showed the Ash with 2 teams. The 1st XI, under Mr R Hugill, and the 2nd XI under Mr H A Woods. The 1st XI, in the 1st Division, had fixtures against Knaresborough 2nds, Follifoot, Spofforth, Woodlands, Calcutt, Harrogate 2nds, Beckwithshaw, Boroughbridge Amateurs and Staveley.

The 2nd XI, in the 2nd Division, had fixtures against Goldsborough, Follifoot 2nds, Spofforth 2nds, Calcutt 2nds, Scriven Park, West Yorks Road Car Co, Gas Co, High Harrogate Sports' Club and Markington.

The early season form wasn't too good, there were some heavy defeats and the batting in particular was problematic.

However, as the season progressed, confidence grew and a long unbeaten run saw the Ash go into their final game, at home against lowly Staveley , knowing that victory would see them pip Follifoot and Harrogate 2nds.

The Ash openers, J Young (6) and R Dickinson (3), didn't last long, it took fine efforts from G Gill (31) and R Scott (20) to come to the rescue as Ash struggled to a nervy total of 89 all out.

The Staveley batting couldn't withstand the Ash bowling of R Scott and T Dixon as they succumbed to 36 all out.
